Due to succession planning a unique opportunity has arisen for the appointment of Director of Sales for Nickerson. Reporting directly to the MD, the Director of Sales is responsible for developing and delivering the appropriate national sales strategy for continued Company success. The successful candidate will be able to manage and train the direct sales force, agents and customer service colleagues. In addition the Director of Sales will liaise and jointly prepare sales and marketing campaigns with the appropriate product managers and marketing personnel. Attending Limagrain UK Ltd Management Team meetings, the jobholder will represent and report on Nickerson activities and contribute to Limagrain UK strategic development.
Candidates will need to have sound commercial and business development experience and demonstrate extensive sales management capability. Well-developed UK seed trade knowledge is a distinct advantage although candidates from other parts of agribusiness will be considered. Excellent communication and motivational skills coupled with an aptitude for sound training and mentoring are also required.
